Payments/Insurance/Policies


Clinician accepts in-network and out-of-network clients as well as providing a sliding scale for self pay clients.  Inquire within.  

Payment

Cash, check, master card, visa credit cards accepted for payment.
Payment is due at time of service and clinician will provide receipt for you if you choose to submit to your insurance agency for reimbursement.

 

Insurance

Services may be covered in full or in part by your health insurance.  Payments for therapy appointments are due at the time of service. If you plan on using health insurance, the policy you hold with your insurance company determines your specific benefits including copays, coinsurance and deductibles. If we are in-network with your insurer we will obtain an estimate of those benefits for you when you book your initial appointment, however please keep in mind that insurance companies do not guarantee those benefits until claims are submitted and processed.

If your insurance policy includes out-of-network benefits, you may be able to seek a partial reimbursement from your insurer for seeing a non-network provider. You should contact your insurer directly to determine those benefits and to request an out-of-network claim reimbursement form. If you have questions about your specific insurance policy’s benefits you can call the member services telephone number on the back of your insurance card.

Benefits of not using insurance include:

No diagnosis needed 
Services are not contingent upon a diagnosis. Insurance companies require a diagnosis in order to receive financial reimbursement for counseling.

Your privacy is protected 
Insurance companies require information about their clients’ diagnosis, qualifying symptoms, and work in counseling. Bypassing insurance companies allows strict confidentiality. No information is shared with anyone unless requested in writing by you, the person served.

Service and time frame are your decision  
The type of service you need and the time frame in which it is provided is a decision made between the partners in the therapy process, based on direct experience, rather than an employee of an insurance company deciding the amount and level of coverage.

 

Cancellation Policy

If you do not show up for your scheduled therapy appointment, and you have not notified us at least 24 hours in advance, you will be required to pay a $75 cancellation fee.
