Who We Serve
I provide treatment for a range of disorders and conditions that cause distress or get in the way of growth — for clients ages 14 and up. I do work with youth, though only in conjunction with family therapy.
Areas of focus include:
-
Depression
-
Anxiety
-
Bipolar Disorder
-
Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD)
-
Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD)
-
Gender Identity / Sexual Identity
-
Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD)
-
Attachment Disorder
I also work with mood dysregulation shaped by life circumstances and developmental stages — not every struggle fits neatly into a diagnosis, and that's welcome here too.
Depression & Anxiety
Managing depression or anxiety starts with learning to recognize thoughts as just thoughts — not facts. Therapy helps you spot common depressive patterns like negative self-perception, pessimism, and powerlessness, while building greater awareness and tolerance for the uncertainty anxiety brings.
You'll practice alternative ways of thinking and responding, both in session and in daily life. For some clients, medication management is a valuable part of treatment — we'll work together to determine if and when that makes sense for you.
Attachment Work& Relational Therapy
Much of who we are took shape in relationship — first with caregivers, then in the relationships that followed. This work looks at the patterns you learned early on: how you seek closeness, manage distance, and respond when connection feels uncertain. Rather than treating these patterns as flaws, we explore them as adaptations that once made sense.
The therapeutic relationship itself becomes part of the work. In the safety of that relationship, old patterns often show up in real time — giving us a direct, present-moment way to notice them, understand where they came from, and practice something different.
Grief & Loss
Processing bereavement and other forms of loss at your own pace.
Trauma
EMDR and depth-oriented work for past and complex trauma. We work with both language and body memory — using somatic approaches alongside talk therapy to help you build new patterns out of old, predictive ways your nervous system has learned to respond.

Relationships
We often bring old baggage — real or perceived — into current relationships, taking our loved ones' behavior more personally than the moment actually calls for. Therapy starts with sorting out what you're really reacting to: the present, or the past.
From there, you'll learn to recognize thought distortions early, before they take hold, and build stronger communication skills. You'll practice acting from your own assertive rights while making room for your partner's — and learn to be present with your loved one, rather than replaying old history.
In couples counseling, you'll practice these skills together in real time, learning to treat each other as collaborators rather than opponents.
